Sigh. It’s the last day of the Easter hols for my mister. It’s been SO good having time off together and doing stuff as a family.
Today we went out with a bang and headed to Newcastle with Dave’s family for the day. Levi loves his cousins, and he spent most of the day watching them run around, throwing rocks in the sea and eating ice-cream all the while wishing he could be that cool some day.
After checking out my in-laws plush room at The Slieve Donard Hotel (sea AND mountain views!), we had a little picnic and walked the promenade. Well, that all happened in stages when we weren’t running for shelter from intervals of hail, wind and rain!
I tell you, Northern Ireland is one of the most beautiful countries in the world, but there is no telling what the weather will be like from one hour to the next. Mother Nature definitely gave us a run around today!
We literally arrived to blue skies and sun, car windows open to welcome the warm breeze and finished it off cowering for cover in a shop front and driving home with the heat blasting on our ice-cold tootsie toes.
Regardless, it was fun, and we managed to get a few snaps when it was safe to take the camera out in the elements. Aren’t Levi’s cousins so beaut?
